EARLY LIFE
John was born on the 29th May 1917 into a wealthy family in Brookline, Massachusetts. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, was a very successful businessman as well as an ambassador for America to the United Kingdom. He also attended Harvard University. Right through out his childhood he was a sickly child and was constantly in and out of hospital. He was eventually diagnosed with Addison's Disease. After returning from war with a back injury he was seen as a hero. His whole life he was surrounded by politics and this fueled him to enter at the young age of 29. By the time he was 44 he had gained his ultimate dream of becoming the President of the United States of America. PRESIDENCY
John Kennedy held presidency for the 20th January 1961 until the eve of is death on the 22nd November 1962. Throughout his presidential term Kennedy was faced with many adversities that he overcame much to the delight of the American people. During April 1961 he suffered a large defeat at the Bay of Pigs and was harshly criticized and named as unable to run the country due to his young age. He sprung back from this after successfully avoiding nuclear holocaust during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis. He then played a big role in the behind-the-scenes aid with Martin Luther King and the black civil rights movement. His youth, charms, enthusiasm, and charisma made the people of America fall in love with this new, energetic president and it was during this high point that he was brutally take away from them in what has been one the most mysterious. assassinations in history. |
FAMILY
John Kennedy was married to Jacqueline Bouvier in 1953. Over the course of the next 10 years they had 4 kids Caroline, John Jr, Arabella, and Patrick. Jackie and the kids were just as big a part of life in the White House as John was. Jackie was seem as a fashion idol for most American women and where ever she went her style followed. The Kennedy's were very family orientated and the loss of their son Patrick and daughter Arabella, both during infancy, was a harsh blow to them. The Kennedy's enjoyed their family holidays away together and often went to their beach house in Massachusetts. However happy he was President Kennedy was infamous for his womanizing and his "Insatiable urge for sexual conquests" His conquests as such even included the movie goddess Marilyn Monroe. ASSASSINATION
President Kennedy was shot while parading through the main street of Dallas, Texas. Three bullets were fired but the killer blow was the third as it smashed into the side of his skull. There has been a lot of speculation over the killing especially regarding who was involved. Some say the C.I.A, or the American-Italian Mafia, others say the Russians and the communists, or even Lyndon B Johnson the vice president.
